Macau Tower

The tallest commercial jump spot in the world. Get you excited? We are, too.

Operated by the good people at AJ Hackett, this 233 m (764 feet) jump sits in Macau, a “special administration region” similar to Hong Kong. In fact, this area in southeastern China is closer to Hong Kong than Beijing.

There are a lot of great videos:

Navajo Bridges, USA - 467 ft (142 m)

Spanning the Colorado River, these bridges are in the heart of the Grand Canyon National Park, spanning the Marble Canyon in Arizona.

It’s tough not to make a great video of this picturesque spot.

Updating the Bungee Jump Locations … Kind of depressing

We have been scouring the internet looking for bungee jump locations to put up on the site. A few observations:

- It is amazing how many sites out there stopped updating in 2002

- It is amazing how many sites out there stopped updating in 1995

- It is depressing how many bungee jump locations have closed down. What was once a pretty good website, bungeezone, now looks more like a graveyard of what was bungee jumping. Even in 2002, when they stopped updating their site, there were a slew of bungee jump spots across the country that had shut down. A couple points from the site Re:Waterplace Park, Providence, Rhode Island “…
This was the tower installed for the ESPN eXtreme Games in late June/early July 1995. Not sure if this is still there. ” and Re:Kissimmee, FL “…Apparantly it is illegal to bungee jump over 75 feet in Florida. ” (this one was closed in 1995!).

- Is bungee jumping a dead sport? I’ll answer that question with a question… Are you on this site, reading this post? Support bungee jumping! Find your local bungee jump location and jump!

From what we’ve gathered so far, this site is going to require some serious digging.

Longqing Gorge Bungee, China

Here’s another exotic bungee jumping location for you: Longqing Gorge, China.

Standing at 164 ft (50 m) in Longqing, China, this tower jump costs roughly $20. Not too bad. The destination is only 56 miles northwest of Beijing, a short day trip that can be gotten to from a city bus for a fraction of the price of what you’d pay for a tour bus.

Interesting total-experience:

Great jump video:

Korinthos Canal, Greece

What a location! Going to Greece? If you fly in to Athens and aren’t going to the islands (or are coming back) for a few days, try bungee jumping off this bridge in southern Greece, just a short train trip from Athens.

Whatever you do, stay away from hostels near the train station in Thessaloniki, or you’ll be cuddling with bed bugs.
