Today’s highlighted bungee jump location is the Victoria Falls Bridge. This jump is located on the Zambezi River, which partially forms the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Wikipedia has an entry about the bridge here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_Falls_Bridge
This monstrous bungee jump costs US$105 per jump, US$145 per tandem jump.
Here is an link to their official site safpar.com.
Here are a couple of views of the bridge, you can see the bungee jump station in the middle of the bridge:
Here’s a look at the jump:
And, as always, we’ve uncovered some great bungee jump YouTube videos:

It’s exciting to see some many locations around the world that offer bungee jumping. As always, we’re out there looking for the best bungee jump pictures, locations, and videos out there. If you’ve got some suggestions, leave us a comment.
We have been scouring the internet looking for bungee jump locations to put up on the site. A few observations:
- It is amazing how many sites out there stopped updating in 2002
- It is amazing how many sites out there stopped updating in 1995
- It is depressing how many bungee jump locations have closed down. What was once a pretty good website, bungeezone, now looks more like a graveyard of what was bungee jumping. Even in 2002, when they stopped updating their site, there were a slew of bungee jump spots across the country that had shut down. A couple points from the site Re:Waterplace Park, Providence, Rhode Island “…
This was the tower installed for the ESPN eXtreme Games in late June/early July 1995. Not sure if this is still there. ” and Re:Kissimmee, FL “…Apparantly it is illegal to bungee jump over 75 feet in Florida. ” (this one was closed in 1995!).
- Is bungee jumping a dead sport? I’ll answer that question with a question… Are you on this site, reading this post? Support bungee jumping! Find your local bungee jump location and jump!
From what we’ve gathered so far, this site is going to require some serious digging.
Here’s another exotic bungee jumping location for you: Longqing Gorge, China.
Standing at 164 ft (50 m) in Longqing, China, this tower jump costs roughly $20. Not too bad. The destination is only 56 miles northwest of Beijing, a short day trip that can be gotten to from a city bus for a fraction of the price of what you’d pay for a tour bus.
The Royal Gorge Games 2009 brought to us by Go Fast!, featuring bungee jumping, B.http://www.greatbigleap.com/wp-admin/index.phpA.S.E. jumping, and much more, will be held between September 25th and 28th in Cañon City, Colorado this year.
You can click the following image or here for the official event website.
Here is the schedule for the event:
Looks like there will be some great demonstrations, but I think I would most be looking forward to participating in the bungee jumps for the public on the 25th!
This event is located at the Royal Gorge Bridge (see locations). This jump is 1053 ft (321 m). Here is a link to the Royal Gorge Bridge website: http://www.royalgorgebridge.com/.
We now have 20 bungee jump locations mapped. You can view them by clicking on ‘locations’ above, or by clicking here.
We’re working hard to carefully and accurately curate each of these location. Work is being done to find as many spots that are commercially accessible as possible. Links provided point to the company that can get you there and get you jumping.
This site is still building. Check back often for more updates, more locations, and more information on bungee jumping.
What a location! Going to Greece? If you fly in to Athens and aren’t going to the islands (or are coming back) for a few days, try bungee jumping off this bridge in southern Greece, just a short train trip from Athens.
Whatever you do, stay away from hostels near the train station in Thessaloniki, or you’ll be cuddling with bed bugs.
As we’re building, let us know what you want? We know from experience (and research) that the bungee sites out there today are lackluster, and certainly aren’t aimed at you.
What are you looking for in a bungee jump resource? Let us know.
As you can see, the site is making some dramatic changes everyday. We’re really excited about showing you what’s to come for this site. Expect more updates soon.
